We are seeking a Manager of Mechanical Design to help provide technical and project leadership to our Mechanical group.
In this role you will:
- Guide, mentor and provide technical leadership to the team.
- Manage projects from inception to completion
- Establish scope, work plan and work schedule and ensure this is communicated to the project staff and other department managers.
- Manage staff utilization to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Provide QA/QC review for design calculations and drawings
- Serve as technical advisor for staff
- Develop and mentor junior staff
- Cultivate client relationships
- Help with proposal development
- Other duties, as assigned
We are looking for someone who has:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- Illinois P.E. License
- 15 plus years of related technical experience
- 5 plus years as a people manager
- Relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong mechanical code knowledge including ASHRAE standards
- AutoCAD, Revit, CostWorks, and other related software knowledge
