Position Title: Residential Solar Energy Consultant
FLSA Status: Exempt (base + commission)

Job Summary: This position is responsible for residential solar projects sales.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. Communicate (in person, on the phone, via email) in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner
- Assessing lead’s needs and providing assistance and information on solar products and services, represent the company and its differentiation
- Develop lead generation channels (new and existing) and find leads through prospecting
- Be proactive by suggesting and implementing new lead generation and sales tactics (e.g. planning marketing activities, networking, solar parties, corporate programs, etc.)
- Conduct prospects/customers appointments and collect all relevant field information to properly estimate the job (includes going on roof, taking measurements, SunEye, reading and evaluation of the main service panel, etc.) and build quality, professional and personable relationship with prospects/customers.
- Represent the company in a professional, personable and in line with its values - integrity and customer-focused. Our clients’ interests come first.
- As someone going to residential home, be particularly mindful of your appearance. Follow the company uniform policy and wear company apparel to be easily identifiable as a member of the company.
- Prepare estimates and present them to prospects.
- Keep detailed records on sales activity and duly reference our CRM tool
- Prepare weekly leads and sales report and present it to the management team
- Close leads into customers
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service and move customer to through the next project’s step. Provide all relevant information about project and conduct walk-trough post signature to provide Project Manager and/or Installations Manager with all the details he/she needs to ensure a smooth and successful installation and completion.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with the other members of the team.
- Sales goals for the first 4 months:
- Month 1:10 kW
- Month 2: 20 kW
- Month 3: 30 kW
- Month 4: 40 kW
- Sales goals after the first 4 months: 50 kW/mo
- Proper use and maintenance of company property such as: computer, cell phone, company vehicle, tools, etc.
Education/Experience (Knowledge) Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred (in any field)
- Minimum one-year experience in a position with extensive customer service environment
- Previous experience as a solar sales associate
- Valid CSLB Home Improvement Salesperson license required
- Valid California Driver’s License required and automobile insurance

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
