Hoglund Body & Equipment is a family owned, commercial vehicle body repair shop located in Monticello, MN, that was established in 2006. We operate in two separate facilities totaling over 47,000 square feet. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment and paint matching technology. Our focus is continued growth in the body repair industry and investing in our team members.
Hoglund Body & Equipment is seeking an experienced Auto Body Paint Technician to join our day-shift, working Monday – Thursday, 10-hour shifts. As a paint technician, you will be responsible for refinishing any vehicle that comes into our shop from start to finish with minimal direction.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Mix paint according to repair order specifications while following manufacturer’s standard operating procedures for product use.
- Mask and protect parts that are not to be painted or coated.
- Paint surface using correct equipment.
- Inspect quality of workmanship - noting any runs, sags or unpainted areas.
- Assist and cooperate with other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Notify parts coordinator of material stock or material quality concerns.
- Maintain clean tools, equipment, and work area, including the mixing rooms and paint booths.
- Maintain and wear all required safety protection equipment, including a respirator.
- comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, product disposal and other hazard materials.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Follow Hoglund Body & Equipment's SOPs and ask for clarification when needed.

- Maintain a positive attitude while focusing on self-improvement.
EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as repair orders, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
Experience:
- 2+ years in the automotive repair industry
Skills & Abilities:
- Physical ability to lift 50 or more pounds
- Position requires the ability to frequently stand, climb stairs, and climb ladders throughout shifts
- Time management skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with teams efficiently
