Position Summary:
In this position, the Clinical Educator will provide staff education and support. They will plan, direct, and implement facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education and develop training programs to meet regulatory standards. This role will report directly into the President & Chief Clinical Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work cooperatively with the executive and clinical team to assess training needs and initiate training programs to meet the company needs and regulatory requirements.
- Provide initial and continuing education activities for both clinical and nonclinical staff.
- Maintain staff development policies, including initiatives and competency requirements.
- Conduct site visits to ensure competency in clinical operations.
- Demonstrate understanding of state and federal regulations that govern the practices of the facility.
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to employees and community affiliates.
- Must be knowledgeable of the various computer systems and can manage educational software program and provide reports as needed.
- Research class materials, department ideas and organizational/healthcare related topics and apply that research/information/new concepts to current training content.
- Stay current with regulations related to education and information technology.
- Seek out opportunities to develop and implement interactive and engaging programs utilizing distant, blended, hybrid and practical-based education methods.
- Present clinical trainings on an as needed basis.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related field
- 1+ years providing clinical education to adults in a clinical setting
- Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to interact with various types of healthcare and educational professional
- Ability to travel as required a minimum of 80% of the time
