Physical and mental demands include, Ability to lift 50 pounds, Ability to reach over head, Ability to kneel at a child's level, Ability to sit on the floor and interact with children , Ability to communicate professionally orally, visually, and in writing, Literacy skills, Basic mathematical abilities, Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and meet varied deadlines, Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards, Ability to cope with stress, Ability to present professionalism in all circumstances.
Responsibilities include, Plan and impliment developmentally appropriate curriculum, providing for the children's physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and language development, Establish a warm, loving, safe, and secure classroom environment, Provide for the health and safety of our children and families, interact with children in a positive manner, implement SJELPC'S discipline policy to guide children's behavior, promote family involvement, maintain professional standards, maintain records in an orderly manner, plan/assist withj program events and activities, Comply with all policies and procedures of SJELPC and out regulatory agencies, Conduct parent/teacher conferences, Supervise and evaluate practicum students, student teachers, and volunteers, Assist with program management as needed, other duties as assigned.
