We are a family owned construction/real estate business in West Chicago, IL.
The candidate will manage all accounting operations and office management functions for 7 family-owned businesses. Industries include excavation, aggregates, land development and property management, Position is in West Chicago, IL reporting to the President.
Responsibilities:
- Full operational accounting for payroll, receivables, payables, job costing, cash management, general ledger, and related activities (based on Sage 300 CRE).
- Weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual reporting & audits for all payroll taxes, unions, insurance, bank reconciliation, general ledger verification, sales tax, and other regulatory items.
- Processing for permits, T & M invoicing, lein waivers, JULIE, real estate tax & CAM allocations, IT, HR and office administration.
- Property management interface to tenants for lease administration and maintenance requests.
- Provide support to 1 direct report and interface with other intra-companies' departments.
Qualifications/Preferences:
- Minimum 5 years direct accounting experience incliuding use of an enterprise accounting system, e.g. Sage 300 CRE, and construction accouning, e.g. WIP.
- Versatility with MS Outlook, Excel & word, general IT savvy and report writer skills.
- General Business management, planning and leadership accomplishments.
- excellent written & verbal communication, problem solving and self-motivation skills.
- Self-directed discipline to ensure quality results, manage priorities & ad-hoc requests, and seek productivity & procedural improvements.
