Local Family owned retail flooring store looking for a part-time bookkeeper.
The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge, work independently to accomplish projects, take charge of needed assignments and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this bookkeeper role. Open to learning new accounting/inventory management software.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Required: Minimum AA degree Business/Accounting or equivalent experience. Computer training for accounting programs and familiar with Microsoft Office Products.
Experience: At least five years experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting to upper management. Experience in the Retail /Warehouse Industry and RFMS Software a plus.
Knowledge and ability of the following:
Responsibilities
- General accounting principles.
- Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconcile balance sheets and have general journal and ledgers to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights for decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
- Job cost accounting.
- Collaborate with team members to support office management and communication efforts.
MATH: Requires mathematical and analytical skills in developing and interpreting computerized financial records, bidding, estimating, and costing documents.
LANGUAGE: This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak English.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
