Job Summary:
The Night Auditor at The Sheraton Palo Alto is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient operation of the hotel's front desk and accounting functions during the night shift. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate records, and balancing daily financial transactions. This is a full-time hourly position, located in Palo Alto, California with a compensation of $25 per hour, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct the nightly audit of guest accounts to ensure accuracy and proper posting of charges and payments
- Process and balance all credit card transactions and cash receipts
- Prepare daily reports on occupancy, revenue, room rates, and other key metrics
- Handle guest inquiries and requests in a professional and friendly manner
- Assist with hotel check-in and check-out procedures, including creating and maintaining guest reservations
- Ensure the safety and security of the hotel by monitoring surveillance cameras and reporting any suspicious activity
- Perform other front desk and accounting duties as needed, including answering phones, responding to emails, and filing paperwork
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college coursework in accounting or hospitality preferred
- Prior experience in a front desk or accounting role in the hospitality industry
- Strong math and computer skills, with the ability to learn new software programs quickly
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work overnight shifts and weekends as needed
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
