Sonoran, a Kleen-Tech company, is currently hiring for a Commercial Construction Operations Manager for the Phoenix area!
**Willing to hire after the holiday season**
The Commercial Construction Operations Manager is responsible for oversight and leadership of assigned sites and may require extensive travel to the regional worksites (more than 50% of the time).
Compensation: $85,000 - 105,000 a year
Company vehicle and gas card provided.
The Commercial Construction Operations Manager will:
- Business development activities, i.e. participate in community work, attending trade organizations (NAIOP, AZCREW, IREM, BOMA).
- Ability to bring in new construction business from candidate’s existing relationships.
- Work with project managers for bid opportunities and creation of proposals.
- Plan, assign, and direct work; appraising performance, coaching, developing and mentoring staff.
- Manage budgets, as well as supply and equipment inventory.
- Represent the company to customers and address any customer concerns.
- Develop construction and small project bids for facilities services division.
- Organize and create proposals for projects.
- Identify and manage subcontractors required for completion of all facilities and construction related projects.
- Oversee sub-contract bidding for projects.
- Oversee, supervise, and train construction field staff.
- Schedule the field operations of the construction division.
- Work with and assist the Company’s personnel in hiring and training of construction staff.
- Maintaining record keeping documentation and support the billing of construction projects, as well as timekeeping, payroll, and billing functions.
- Comply with Sonoran/Kleen-Tech’s systems, processes and tools
Requirements:
- College degree or 5+ years of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR (motor vehicle record)
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must have two years of commercial construction experience
- High level of organization and time management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
- Must possess strong analytical skills.
- Experience in supervising and verifiable success in managing employees.
- Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
- Must have administrative and computer skills – knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
- Must have knowledge of time recording systems and software.
- Have GC license or be willing to obtain GC license
