Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director/VP of Engineering to spearhead technical operations in natural gas-fueled power generation. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
- Act as the chief expert on thermal power generation technologies.
- Drive project configurations, layout analyses, and technology selection to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
- Conduct and oversee technical feasibility studies and due diligence for new and existing projects.
- Engage with stakeholders across multiple disciplines to ensure all technical aspects align with business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution; MS in Engineering/MBA preferred.
- Registered Professional Engineer is a plus.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in the energy sector, with at least 5 years in leadership roles related to project design and operations of combustion turbines or reciprocating engines.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in gas fueled power plant design, technology, and operations
- Demonstrated prowess in building, coaching, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Experienced in overseeing large-scale engineering projects, with a proven track record in strategic project development and risk management.
Working Conditions:
- This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing multiple high-stake projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Regular domestic travel to project sites, meetings, and conferences is expected.
