Primary Responsibilities
The Accounting Clerk will maintain the accounts payable function while improving efficiencies. They will be responsible for ensuring that vendors are paid timely and accurately, and invoices are coded correctly. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, tech-savvy person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy is of the utmost importance.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
- Compile, process and maintain accounts payable records, account reconciliations and work papers
- Verify approval on all invoices and check requests
- Coding invoices and allocations
- Able to prepare and process payment runs
- Update and maintain vendor database
- Maintain system invoice workflows and support quarterly review process
- Weekly analysis of invoice aging
- Reconciles vendor statements
- Ability to process and follow-up on rush items, as needed
- Monthly account reconciliations
- Understand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs for The Quin
- Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of services provided
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
- Continually strive to develop the staff in all areas of professional development
