Position Summary
Responsible for assembling electrical equipment, mainly overhead cranes. Reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts and tools, and fits electronic components together.
Job Duties:
- Work safely and responsibly in an industrial environment by adhering to all OSHA and internal safety policies

Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports

Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required for material handling

Use best practices to meet production schedule and quality assurance requirements

Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits
-
Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment

Adjust or repair electrical equipment

Test product to ensure conformance to specifications as a finished product

Assemble and build products such as electrical panels, electronic motor control devices, inner connection between components and sensing equipment

Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment

Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges

Other duties as assigned
Education
A high school diploma or GED preferred; trade school or military experience a plus
Experience & Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required; prior overhead crane electrical and lifting industry preferred

Experience with three phase motor controls and variable frequency drives strongly preferred

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Effective communication skills

Ability to lift and operate heavy electrical machinery

Excellent hand-eye coordination

Ability to operate and understand electrical meters

Ability to create and interpret technical documentation
-
Basic computer skills such as emailing, record keeping, ordering, inventory management and form filing

Willingness to work in flexible shifts
-
Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds

Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen and E-verify
