Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool students
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and engagement
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students, including those with special education requirements
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through a variety of educational experiences
- Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support student learning and development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents/guardians regularly
Qualifications:
- Asssociate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent experience) or a CDA
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage student behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Experience working with students with special education needs is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
