Job Description: Twin Maples Specialty, Starr’s new wholesale platform is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriting Analyst to join our new wholesale broker focused Financial Lines team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting underwriters in the evaluation and assessment of private company and not-for-profit D&O, EPLI, Fiduciary and Crime risks.
Responsibilities:

Assist underwriters in reviewing and analyzing new business submissions for financial lines products, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

Gather relevant data to evaluate potential exposures and loss trends.

Utilize underwriting tools and software to generate quotes, proposals, and policy documents.

Communicate with wholesale brokers and clients to obtain additional information and clarify underwriting requirements.

Maintain underwriting files and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Support underwriting team in special projects, initiatives, and process improvements as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.

Previous experience in insurance underwriting, analysis, or related field preferred. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.

Self starter, driven and can operate in an ambiguous environment

Excellent communication anld interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and underwriting software/systems.

Knowledge of financial lines insurance products and industry regulations is a plus.
