Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent eye care services and uphold the highest standards of patient care.
Duties:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and eye health
- Diagnose and treat visual problems, diseases, and disorders
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and preventive measures
Experience:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry
- State licensure to practice optometry
- Strong knowledge in ophthalmology, optical systems, and medical coding
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and senior care practices
- Experience in optical sales is a plus
- Ability to use electronic medical records systems effectively
- Understanding of succession planning in optometric practices
