Position Scope:
This position is for our 2nd shift. Manage product flow through the assembly department meeting production schedule requirements. Responsible for training personnel, monitoring workflows, machine pm’s and maintaining adequate inventory levels of raw materials. Must communicate with and support other department heads. Maintain a clean and safe work environment utilizing 5S and lean strategies.
Major Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe work environment.
- Manage and direct workflow throughout the department.
- Participate in production meetings and provide production schedules to the shop floor.
- Train personnel to safely and efficiently perform daily tasks.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and coordinate equipment preventative maintenance.
- Recommend safety and quality improvements.
- Adjust work force to accommodate production demand.
- Cross train personnel to maximize their knowledge.
- Maintain proper inventory to meet demands.
Major Tasks:
- Review requirements and job specifications
- Track movement of parts through the department to meet production requirements.
- Prepare for production meetings.
- Train personnel for their respective roles.
- Check work performed to minimize errors.
- Adjust personnel to fit flow and abilities.
- Cross train personnel
- Monitor the use of supplies and stock materials.
- Ensure all safety policies are followed.
Description of Authority:
- Maintain discipline, safety rules, and OSHA regulations.
- Develop work schedule.
- Provide instruction to personnel in area of responsibility.
- Stop shipments because of poor quality.

Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma and/or vocational training
- 3-5 years of experience managing direct reports in a production environment
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Experience with ERP systems (SAS, Epicor, etc.)
- AutoCAD experience a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
