At Lucas Horsfall, a tax manager/director oversees the tax planning of our mid to large sized entities, interprets tax regulations and advises clients on appropriate tax strategies. Tax Manager/Director Essential Functions
· Ability to review and manage staff deliverables including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and any ad hoc work for all entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Fiduciary, Exempt Organization, and Individual, among others).
· Expertise in tax planning and bringing added value to clients by strategizing to optimize their respective tax situation.
· Communicate with clients and effectively administer client engagements.
· Serve as a mentor to staff to guide them towards their professional goals and aspirations.
· Engagement in business development efforts including meeting with prospective clients, preparing proposals and fee quotes, and evaluating potential new client service needs.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the firm as well as clients.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position will mentor, train and develop staff.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience with individual and partnership tax returns.
- Tax Managers at LHMP must be a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
- Master’s in taxation preferred.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
