Advancing Communities Everywhere is looking for a Clinical Licensure Supervisor, a prospective LPC or LCSW who is fully licensed and credentialed with the Virginia Board of Social Work Professions or the Virginia Board of Counseling in the scope of practice or Social Work and/or Professional Counseling. The Clinical Licensure Supervisor is required to maintain high-quality time management and organization where required duties shall be completed in a timely manner and consistent with policies outlined in the company handbook and licensure requirements. The Clinical Licensure Supervisor must be energetic, highly motivated, and able to work well with others. The Clinical Licensure Supervisor must be able to work independently and efficiently to keep up with the fast pace and changing work environment daily.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be licensed as an LMHP with the state of Virginia, and have an approval letter from the Board of Health Professions as a LCSW and/or LPC.
Supervisor’s Scope of Practice –
Requirements are as follow:
Virginia licensee with an active, unrestricted license in the jurisdiction where supervision is being provided, with at least two (2) years of post licensure clinical experience (post-licensure clinical practice experience in another jurisdiction can be considered toward the 2 year requirement)
• LPC’s can supervise Residents in Counseling, Residents in Marriage and Family
Therapy, Residents in Substance Abuse Treatment and CSAC Residents
• LMFT’s can supervise Residents in Counseling and Residents in Marriage and
Family Therapy and CSAC Residents
• LSATP’s can supervise Residents in Substance Abuse Treatment and CSAC
Residents
• Provide documentation of professional training in supervision
• Three (3) semester credit or four (4) quarter credit hours in supervision, or at
least 20 hours of continuing education in supervision
• CE provider must meet the same requirements for renewal CE’s
Purpose, Goals And Objectives Of Supervision:
a. To fulfil requirements for training supervision;
b. To promote development of resident’s professional identity and competence;
c. To (Other) AS AGREED UPON BY SUPERVISOR AND RESIDENT.
Context And Content Of Supervision:
1. The content of supervision will focus on the acquisition of knowledge, conceptualization, and skills within the defined scope of practice.
2. The context will ensure understanding of ethics, codes, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines (including consent, confidentiality/ privacy), and all relevant legislation.
3. A supervisory record form will be used to document impressions of each supervisory session. Feedback
will be provided at the close of each session. Supervision notes may be shared with resident.
4. Supervsior Rights and Responsibilities of both parties
1. To bring concerns/issues about Resident’s work.
2. To question Resident about his/her work and workload.
3. To give Resident constructive feedback on his/her work performance.
4. To observe Resident’s practice and to initiate supportive / corrective action as required.
Supervisor Responsibilities
1. To uphold ethical guidelines and professional standards.
2. To make sure supervision sessions happen as agreed and to keep a record of the meeting.
3. To create a supervision file containing supervision records and other documents relating to development and training.
4. To ensure that Resident is clear about his/her role and responsibilities.
5. To record the supervision session and to store their copy in the supervision file.
6. To monitor Resident’s performance.
7. To set standards and assess the Resident against these.
8. To know what Resident is doing and how it is being done.
9. To deal with problems as they impact on the Resident’s performance.
10. To support resident and the agreed personal development plan.
11. To complete all forms as requested by the Virginia Board of Counseling Professions, including professional disclosure statement of supervisor and supervision logs.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling professions, Psychology, Human Services or related field.
Must be an LMHP as deemed by the Board of Health and Counseling Professions
Minimum 2 years Licensed Human Services experience.
Must be knowledgeable of DMAS and DBHDS regulations and DMAS MCO providers across the network
Compensation:
$75-$100 per 1 hour of Supervision for each Supervisee or Resident weekly.
Group Supervisions are compensated at a $100 flat rate per each Group Bi-weekly (if applicable).
Superivision must be completed and documented weekly for reimbursement on a Supervision Note and Invoice Form.
