Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Receptionist to join our team at a dynamic dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the dental office and providing exceptional patient care.
Duties:
- Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule appointments for patients efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and medical records
- Prepare and send patient bills in a timely manner
- Submit patient claims to insurance companies and follow up as needed
- Assist patients in completing necessary intake and medical forms
- Confirm appointments with patients via phone or email
- Manage specialist referrals and coordinate patient care
- Inform patients about payment options and assist with financial inquiries
- Monitor and replenish office supplies as required
- Handle basic accounting tasks, including processing payments and preparing billing statements
- Update patient insurance information accurately
- Ensure all dental office equipment is well-maintained and functional
- Organize incoming and outgoing mail effectively
- Manage petty cash for office needs
- Maintain a professional appearance of the reception area
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic or similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software is an advantage
- Knowledge of medical records management and office procedures is beneficial
