We're seeking a Medical Assistant who can work closely with our podiatrists and other medical professionals to treat patients and help them heal. The ideal candidate for this position has a background in podiatry/orthopedics and is comfortable picking up new knowledge. Our company is also looking for individuals who are self-motivated, able to multitask, responsible, adaptable and highly organized, as this position is responsible for completing detailed paperwork and clerical duties as well as executing therapeutic treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care, including taking vital signs and assisting physician with procedures and minor surgeries.
- Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic technique during patient exams and pre- and post-operative care.
- Perform administrative duties as necessary, such as answereing phones, scheduling appointments, filing, maintain medical records and checking insurance referrals.
- Operate medical office equipment such as photocopiers and fax machines.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality in patient care.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
