Role Overview:
As the Manager of Business Development, you'll play a significant role in our sales strategy in the US, driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. You will lead a high-performing sales team, forge strategic partnerships, and champion the adoption of our certification programs across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Sales Strategy:
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership: Partner closely with our executive team to design a comprehensive sales strategy aligned to the unique needs and opportunities of the US market. Your insights and expertise will directly influence the direction of our growth initiatives.
- Design Robust Sales Processes: Develop and implement effective sales processes that align with our organizational goals. This process includes creating standardized procedures for lead generation, qualification, follow-up, and closing, ensuring a consistent and scalable approach to sales.
- Strategic Planning: Conduct regular market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Use this data to adapt and refine our sales strategy, keeping us ahead of the curve and competitive in the rapidly evolving EdTech landscape.
- Sales Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs that equip the sales team with the latest knowledge, skills, and tools needed to succeed.
Revenue Generation:
- Set Ambitious Revenue Targets: Establish ambitious revenue goals aligning with our growth aspirations. Develop detailed action plans to achieve and exceed these targets, ensuring all team members are aligned and motivated.
- Pursue New Business Opportunities: Identify and strategically target new business opportunities across various sectors, including educational institutions, corporations, and government entities. Your proactive approach will drive the expansion of our client base.
- Forge Strategic Alliances: Build and nurture strategic alliances with key partners, industry influencers, and certification bodies. Leverage these relationships to enhance our market presence and open new revenue streams.
- Maximize Existing Accounts: Develop and implement account management strategies to maximize revenue from existing clients. Focus on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to ensure long-term client satisfaction and loyalty.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate Strong Relationships: Understand your key clients, partners, and stakeholders' unique needs and challenges to build strong, long-lasting relationships. Position yourself as a trusted advisor by offering tailored solutions and guidance. Foster long-term partnerships through trust, communication, and empathy, being a reliable partner and go-to resource every step of the way.

- Solution Selling: Utilize a consultative selling approach to understand client needs and offer customized solutions that align with our certification offerings. Your ability to articulate the value and benefits of our programs will drive adoption and success.
- Client Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for their needs and ensuring our offerings continuously meet and exceed expectations.
Market Analysis and Positioning:
- Stay Informed: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to maintain a deep understanding of the EdTech landscape. Your insights will inform strategic decisions and keep us ahead of the competition.
- Product Positioning: Harness the power of market intelligence to polish and perfect our product positioning. Showcase our certification programs in a manner that emphasizes their unparalleled value and sets us apart from the competition.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, as well as an MBA, is a plus.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in sales roles, preferably in technology, education, or certification sectors.
- Strong understanding of AI, data science, and cybersecurity domains.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales in the US and international markets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
