Front Desk Receptionist
A reputable group of Ophthalmologists based in Tamarac and Boca Raton is seeking a pro-active, customer service oriented Front Desk Receptionist to work with a talented team of physicians. The ideal candidate is an energetic, enthusiastic go-getter who can work with a wide variety of personalities.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 1 year prior experience as a medical front desk receptionist
· Strong focus on customer service
· Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
· Pleasant and professional phone demeanor
· Strong attention to detail, ability to follow up and follow through and complete work on time
· Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or Practice Management system(s)
· Must be proficient with computers and general office equipment
· Ability to work in a fast pace environment
· Team player
Responsibilities/Duties (including but not limited to):
· Using a Practice Management and EHR system – Next Gen knowledge is a plus
· Greet patients and visitors and answer their general office questions
· Register patients, verify and update demographics, assist patients in completing forms and document all the information received
· Explains financial responsibilities to the patient and collect payments
· Monitor and schedule patients and providers appointments
· Answer, screen and direct telephone calls
· Maintain work area and lobby in a neat and orderly manner at all times
