Birch Agency has math teaching positions for open in the Philadelphia, PA area for 2024-2025 school year. The right candidates must be able to:
- Ensures that each student achieves learning outcomes that are above average in the subject of science by instructing students in a clear, concise, and fun way, and prepares lesson plans that are engaging and incorporates the curriculum.
- Understands and develops learning goals according to state and national Math standards and administers assessments.
- Implements progress monitoring, differentiated instruction, lesson planning, and using a variety of assessments to meet the academic needs of all learners.
- Assesses, records, and reports on the development, progress, attainment, academic and social needs of students.
- Maintains written lesson plans, identifying clear objectives for all lessons, and submits for administrative review and approval as required.
- Provides oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students or groups of students.
- Promotes the general progress and well-being of individual students, groups of students or class.
- Communicates, consults, and cooperates with other members of the school staff, including those having posts of special responsibility, parents, and guardians to ensure the best interest of students.
- Possesses excellent time management, classroom management procedures and routines.
- Collaborates with fellow teachers, administrators, support staff, and parents to ensure the academic and social success of students.
- Plans and implements a math program of study employing instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting school and district goals and objectives.
- Creates a classroom and school environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the principal or administrative designee.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Education Mathematics
Philadelphia Department of Education Teaching certification

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
