- Valid Driver's License
- 4+ years of verifiable experience
- Leadership experience required.
- Experience in coordinating and assigning work.
- Previous experience working with all types of tractors/trailers and heavy-duty diesel trucks.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards while completing repairs and inspections according to manufacturer requirements.
- Ensures that tasks are completed timely, within scope, and that technicians.
- Mentor and provide technical support to other mechanics as required.
- Monitor shop status, housekeeping, inspecting shop equipment, and safety-related items.
- Assist techs in growing skills and knowledge.
- Ensure that repairs are completed to a high level of quality reducing return work, conducting spot checks, and verifying thoroughness of work completed.
- Preventative maintenance on trailers and commercial trailers/trucks
- Preventative maintenance on checking tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, starting system, and electrical system.
- Truck and trailer DOT inspections
- Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel "heavy-duty" trucks primarily, and may also work on chemical trailers, including chemical tankers and dry bulk units.
- Diesel work duties typically include all aspects of truck repair other than bodywork, including computer diagnostics on engine/transmission/chassis, emissions system repairs, transmission/clutch/linkage; electrical; starting systems; engine PM; A/C; and other typical truck repairs.
- Trailer repair duties typically include checking running gear including brakes, tires/wheels, air systems, suspension, electrical systems & lights. Trailer HM183 inspections are performed at this shop, which will not be a requirement of this position but the opportunity to learn these will be present if desired to learn this aspect of trailer repairs.

- May work above shoulder level with power and/or hand tools weighing 15lbs or less and in confined spaces.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position and have mobility, vision, hearing, sense of smell, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties performed.
- May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift, and carry items weighing 50lbs or less.
