As a key player within our dedicated team, you will collaborate closely with the client’s HR team to manage our hourly workforce, ensuring that our workforce solutions are seamlessly integrated to drive business growth at our Torrance, CA facility. Your mission is to lead by example, ensuring top-tier standards in staffing and compliance while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. This role is day shift, approximately 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with the occasional need to cover early morning and late afternoon staff check-ins.
Your Impact: Elevate Staffing Operations
Recruit & Develop Talent: Achieve staffing objectives by establishing recruiting requirements and developing a robust candidate pool. Conduct interviews, evaluate applicants, and enter corresponding information into the database. Create and implement recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates, maintaining alignment with site recruitment goals.
Operational Excellence: Oversee payroll preparation, track attendance, run daily/weekly reports, and review client invoicing. Ensure smooth onboarding processes by auditing new hire paperwork, processing pre-employment screening, and entering new hire information into the HRIS and payroll systems. Provide comprehensive orientation for new hires.
Ensure Compliance & Safety: Maintain corporate and client guidelines and controls to ensure compliance with employee relations issues in accordance with divisional and corporate policies. Provide counseling and conduct investigations as needed. Coordinate with the Onsite Staffing Manager to uphold Eclipse IA’s corporate, and the client's HR, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
Build Relationships: Quickly form effective working relationships with warehouse staff and the client’s supervisory team. Your ability to connect and communicate will drive team cohesion and operational success.
Problem-Solve & Innovate: Address operational challenges with innovative solutions and proactive strategies to maintain seamless operations. Complete additional tasks as needed to achieve the overall goals of the site.
Job Requirements:
- Must be bi-lingual in Spanish
- 2 years+ of Recruiting/Staffing experience
- 2 years+ of similar onsite supervisory experience in a warehouse/distribution/manufacturing environment
- Ability to occasionally cover early-morning staff check-ins, as well as afternoon check-ins
- Detail-oriented, hands-on, and results-driven with a positive attitude toward change and resilience under pressure in a fast-paced, energetic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, payroll systems, or staffing industry systems is a plus
