As the
Site Quality Manager, you will be responsible for helping to encourage a Quality culture and provide appropriate governance and assurance leadership. You will plan and implement continuous improvement. This position is located full on site on our Sylmar, CA. facility. You will report to the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Systemic analysis of QMS/BMS data to the site Management Review process ensuring effective, data based, factual inputs to business decisions
- Ensuring the site's audit requirements are integral to the audit plan, ensuring compliance with QMS/BMS internal, customer (2nd party) and external (3rd party) audit requirements and delivering on site follow up activities
- Coordination, planning, hosting and leadership of all Customer (2nd party) & Certification Body (3rd party) audits to ensure successful outcome and, supporting all departments in resolving any issues raised as part of the audits
- Recording and measuring of any defined Site QMS/BMS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and for taking the actions necessary to improve
- Directing Local Business Process Managers to ensure the adoption of the PPG Global Standards, adapting and tailoring the local QMS/BMS processes that control and improve effectiveness, to support achieving business objectives
- Planning, conducting & follow up activities (including systemic analysis of risk/opportunity) of product and production process audit as required by the programs and to assure proper discharge of delegated product quality related activities in the organization in support of product safety and conformity.
Qualifications
- 4 year Degree in Business Management; engineering, and or manufacturing role required with experience of Quality/Business Management Systems
- 5+ years utilizing knowledge, experience and training of ISO 9100, AS/EN/JISQ9100, Aviation Regulatory (EASA, FAA part 21) & customer quality requirements and application of these into an accredited QMS/BMS
- 5+ years of experience of deploying BMS across an organization of an equal size
- 3+ years of experience utilizing knowledge, experience and training in Lean and its application within a business management context
- 3+ years of experience working with AS9100, commercial and military aerospace quality and engineering specifications, AS9145, FAA part 21 and 145.
- SAE AS9100D;2016 Lead Auditor certified or equivalent quality systems certification
- US Citizen
Salary Range $130,000-$180,000 plus annual bonus
