JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Primary responsibility is focused on process development and continuous improvement for procurement in order to efficiently procure CapEx goods and services for Viega in a standardized way. This role owns the process definition, including methods, tools, roles and responsibility outline required to procure the product or service. This role provides the daily support and ongoing ownership of the process from the earliest stages of resource and master planning, negotiations and contract approvals, and the completion of signoffs from supporting departments and stakeholders.
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Process Management
- Work with stakeholders on identifying and negotiating the purchase of product(s) and/or service(s).
- Work in conjunction with Procurement team members, Emerging Technologies, Legal, Finance, and others to maximize success of standardized processes and development projects pertinent to cost, quality, manufacturing readiness, and schedule.
- Stay in regular communication with internal customers to identify new opportunities to improve the system process.
- Create, maintain, validate, control, for all documentation in assigned areas while being the overall gate keeper of the process.
- Support regular audits of controlled documentation, identify opportunities and implement countermeasures to documentation based on internal and external audits.
Software and Resource Development
- Source and evaluate new opportunities with different software or applications to improve visibility within Procurement activities.
- Work cross-functionally with both internal and external resources to develop any new tools and applications to support the goals and objectives of Procurement.
- Complete cost analysis of resource and tracking tools.
- Develop purchasing and service trackers to streamline information share between departments.
Other
- Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Duties to possibly include both Direct and Indirect Purchasing responsibilities.
- Insure Purchasing compliance to Viega QMS; Create, maintain, review and be versed in Purchasing processes.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal. Must be able to understand and communicate technical details clearly so they can be understood by everyone.
Special Job Dimensions
- Will be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of MRP processes
- Knowledge of computer software/programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MRP and SAP
- Strong planning and scheduling skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Ability to pay close attention to detail

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- At least five (5) years experience within a Supply Chain or Procurement role
- Experience in standardizing and optimizing processes around cost, quality, readiness and schedule

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation:
- Base: $85,000 - $111,000 annually (CO), based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
