Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities & Parking Coordinator to oversee the maintenance and operations of our office building along with managing parking facilities and employee transportation to nearby locations via shuttle.
Someone with facilities/property management and driving experience is preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Driving company shuttle van to pick up and drop off employees from nearby parking locations.
- Manage parking facilities including directing traffic, ensuring parking spaces are utilized efficiently, and enforcing parking regulation.
- Operate a car lift to assist with vehicle parking and retrieval as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of the building and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness issues.
- Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC servicing, plumbing repairs, and janitorial services.
- Respond promptly to building emergencies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment warranties, and vendor contracts.
- Monitor building systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers, including obtaining quotes and overseeing work quality.
- Procure and maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and tools necessary for building maintenance and operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to address specific facility-related needs and support office events or projects as required.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve facility operations.
- May be required to open or close the office building.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Valid CA Driver’s license and ability to drive a van, clean driving record/DMV record and previous driving experience is required.
- Proven experience in facilities management, property management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating equipment as needed.
- Experience operating car lifts or willingness to learn.
- Able to Occasionally kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours for emergencies or special projects.
