Taney Engineering, a partner firm of HFW Company, is a full-service civil engineering and land survey company looking to expand its team with additional talent. We are a leader in land development and public works engineering, employing 60+ team members with diverse experience in commercial/industrial, energy, healthcare, public, residential and transportation engineering.
We are looking for a full time Front Desk Admin to answer phones, respond to visitors and provide assistance to the Operations Manager to keep the office running smoothly. This dynamic and rewarding position will interact with all in-house staff and outside agencies, clients and visitors. We are seeking a candidate that will always maintain an example of professionalism, with a positive attitude and be an effective resource to the entire office.
This person should have the capacity to enthusiastically learn the required duties quickly and efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good organizational habits will ensure you are successful in your role. Proficient experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Outlook are expected.
Typical Responsibilities include:
- Answer and respond to all incoming phone calls.
- Greet and direct visitors.
- Schedule meetings and maintain company calendars.
- Processing incoming / outgoing mail and packages.
- Order office supplies.
- Assist with general office maintenance duties and working with vendors.
- Assist with various other administrative duties that will support the Operations Manager.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma and 2+ years of office administrative experience.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- Proficient computer skills, MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe.
- Communicate clearly and proficient in English.
- Professional writing skills.
Working Conditions:
This position works in a climate controlled, fast paced engineering office environment.
Work Hours
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
