Job Purpose:
This position will deliver exceptional HVAC installation service to the client by completing and installing HVAC equipment and accessories. This position will lead an install crew and will ensure that all work is performed correctly.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Installation of HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s specification
- Responsibilities include: Installing HVAC related equipment, Installing sheet metal duct systems, Connecting gas lines to heating equipment, Cutting and threading pipes, Wiring both line voltage and low voltage to heating equipment, Installing copper refrigerant line to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing, and Inspect area for cleanliness after job is completed
- Informs a manager or team leader of any safety issues.
- Maintain a courteous demeanor with clients and associates at all times.
- Maintain a professional image at all times by wearing company approved uniform.
- Abide by all standards of performance and ethics.
- Participate in company sponsored training classes and other duties as assigned.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Prior work experience in the HVAC industry as an HVAC Install helper preferred.
Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail.
Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through.
EPA Certified or pursuing.
A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
HVAC certification or Diploma preferred.
Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.
Valid driver’s license, and approved to drive by company’s insurance carrier.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a desire to exceed client expectations and function in a team environment.
Working Conditions:
Regularly works in indoor/outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures. Climbing, heavy lifting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching are required for this position.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawlspaces, ability to lift 50 pounds, to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items, occasionally work from heights 15 feet or higher above ground, have good visual acuity to see and focus close, at a distance, and with normal peripheral vision and normal depth perception, Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule, if needed.
