The Business Development Manager - Branded Ingredients is responsible for growing Prinova’s existing portfolio of science based branded ingredients, as well as soliciting and launching new product offerings. This role works closely with sales, marketing and the VP of Innovation and Marketing to bring exciting new ingredients to largely sports/lifestyle nutrition based market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages Prinova’s existing portfolio of science based ingredients
- Researches, identifies and sells new prospective supply partners for exclusive sales and marketing representation
- Manages existing and new supply partner relationships
- Creates and executes on product level business plans to drive specific branded ingredient offerings
- Travels with sales reps across US and Canada, interfacing with customers and providing technical sales expertise
- Partners with internal and external resources to design and commission clinical studies
- Helps design and develop product application work through internal and external resources to help drive branded ingredient sales
- Works across Prinova’s vertically integrated business units to offer branded ingredients via an omni-channel approach, bringing product to market through distribution, premix manufacturing and contract manufacturing
- Manages supply chain, negotiates cost and sets pricing on product portfolio
- Works closely with Marketing in the creation and implementation of content

Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of sports and lifestyle nutrition industry experience required

Travel:
Up to 30% travel

- Work environment is normally in an office setting. Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment
