As we continue to expand our presence, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our growing team.
Role Description
The Accounting Manager will lead and direct the accounting team and manage the accounts receivable, accounts payable and finance close and reporting processes.
In this role you will need:
Strong leadership skills to manage the accounting team and provide coaching and development.
- Manage monthly close to ensure timely preparation and issuance of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed analysis on accounting information monitoring records completeness and pertinence while identifying potential problems, define and implement corrective actions, and follow up to ensure data is complete and correct.
- Perform and review monthly internal controls, account reconciliations, cost function, bank reconciliation, and other reconciliations.
- Responsible for the continuous process improvements and evaluating opportunities to further enhance the accounting function.
- Prepare the monthly reporting package including reconciliation of EBITDA adjustments and covenant calculations.
- Prepare for and assist with the external audit process.
- Manage the accounts receivable billing and collection process and AP payment process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP (Sage preferred) and Microsoft Office (excellent Excel skills)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a natural curiosity.
- Demonstrated accountability for results and understanding of the financial impact of decisions
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
