Title: SR SEO Coordinator

Reports to: SEO Team Lead / Director of Organic Marketing
Job Summary:
The Sr SEO Coordinator will play a critical role in enhancing our clients' online presence and driving organic growth. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to implement effective strategies across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SEO, a proven track record of improving search engine rankings, an inclination for problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic.

Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends.

Collaborate with content, graphics, and external third parties to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all digital content and website initiatives.
On-Page and Off-Page Optimization:
- Perform on-page optimization, including meta tags, header tags, URL structure, and internal linking.

Conduct local SEO optimization for Google Business Profile, Bing, Apple, and Yelp local listings

Audit backlink reports

Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, etc.
Content Strategy and Optimization:
- Work with the content team to develop SEO-friendly content strategies.

Optimize existing content for search engines and user experience.

Ensure content is aligned with the latest SEO guidelines and trends.
Technical SEO:
- Conduct technical SEO and UX audits and provide recommendations for improvement.

Apply directly as able and work with website platforms and third parties to implement SEO fixes and enhancements.

Ensure website structure, code, and other technical elements comply with SEO best practices.

Using mostly HTML and CSS, code onsite pages.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Provide regular reports on SEO performance, including insights and recommendations.

Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO and digital marketing trends and technologies.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior SEO team members.

Foster a collaborative environment with other departments to ensure cohesive digital marketing efforts.

Represent the SEO team in cross-departmental projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of success

Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz)

Experience with Wordpress, HTML, and CSS for SEO purposes

Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with an adaptive mindset

Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree in Marketing or related field

SEO certification(s) from recognized organizations

Experience in local SEO and managing multi-location SEO strategies

This position works full-time in the Birmingham, Alabama office.
