A Typical Work Day May Include:
Plan, coordinate and manage CALEA accreditation activities, projects and processing; serve as department liaison to other agencies on training and coordination of CALEA activities, including annual and semiannual review of department policies and procedures; coordinate all required assessments and inspections.
Monitor and measure agency adherence to accreditation standards, ensuring all standards are met for accreditation/re-accreditation and keep up to date on standards and actively participate in appropriate accreditation commission and professional associations.
Relay messages, disseminate mail and incoming facsimiles.
Greet visitors and provide assistance, including answering public inquiries regarding department functions. Guide the general public through the department’s processes and programs. Answer phones and direct calls as necessary.
Type correspondence, reports, and other needed documents.
Coordinate appointments for Chief and Executive staff as well as general support for all executive staff.

What You Will Need:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One to three years related office support experience, required.
Valid Kansas driver’s license, and driving record must meet commercial liability insurance requirements.
What Will Put You Ahead:
Considerable knowledge of current law enforcement and/or emergency communications practices, as well as, federal, state and local regulations governing departmental policy and operations. Knowledge of law enforcement and/or emergency communications accreditation standards for law enforcement.
College degree.
