Hotel AKA Boston Common is seeking a Staff Accountant!
As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a critical role in managing the hotel's financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and monthly financial reporting. Teams Member Requirements:
- Participates in the month end process ensuring all expenses are realized in the correct periods. This includes the processing of month end journal entries.
- Oversees the AP process, ensuring all recurring invoices are tracked received and entered in the applicable frequency.
- Establishes and maintains vendor relations.
- Oversees and actions all financial reporting, including but not limited to daily revenue, advanced deposits, aging, and financial transaction activities.
- Reviews, manages, and actions financial transactions completed within each property management system.
- Maintains credit, AR, and billing controls by adhering to aka policies and procedures for collections and billing.
- Assists in solving guest billing concerns, billing errors, credit card / payment disputes in a timely manner.
- Manages chargebacks and unverified refunds in a timely manner.
- Additional tasks as assigned by Manager.

Required Qualifications:
- One-year certification from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of accounting experience.
- Proven strong background in accounting.
- Previous Hotel/Hospitality experience is a strong plus.
- Proficient personal computer skills including e-mail, record-keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
- Meticulous attention to detail, time management, prioritization, multitask, verbal communication, written communication, and manageability.
