We are seeking a hands-on experienced Warehouse Supervisor – Morning Shift.
Position Description:
The morning warehouse supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receiving of in-bound products, loading Fauna’s out-bound trucks and preparing the warehouse for the second shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing the counting, inspection and stocking of inbound inventory.
A successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to effectively supervise a small staff, anticipate and resolve any problems as they arise, work in a dynamic environment, overcome obstacles and be able to adapt as receiving schedules change.
Position Responsibilities:
- Receiving inbound freight
- Unload, accurately count, inspect goods, report damages, and break down pallets.
- Record receipt of goods into the inventory management system using RF scanners and computer including product expiration dates.
- Loading outbound delivery trucks
- Ensure that all special items including frozen and high value goods are loaded.
- Walk the warehouse and inspect the freezer to determine that all goods to be delivered are loaded on the trucks. Check driver paperwork and provide customer invoices to the appropriate drivers.
- Supervise the put away of received goods into the appropriate warehouse locations.
- Open outer entry doors and unlock emergency exits upon arrival.
- Properly follow the safety guidelines for trucks approaching and leaving the loading dock.
- Verbal and written communication to the Purchasing Department regarding receiving schedule/changes and discrepancies/damages.
- Report daily updates to the Warehouse Director and other Supervisors.
- Train, supervise and educate all members of the morning shift.
- Ensure all safety protocols and all other policies are implemented and followed consistently.
- Assist in-bound delivery trucks back down the dead-end street to our dock.
- Shift: Monday to Friday 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience
- Including 2 years in a supervisory roll
- Strong good communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Experience using RF Scanner Guns and Computers
- Knowledge of AS400/ A+ system or other Inventory Control Programs is helpful
- Forklift and Pallet Jack Certification
- Knowledge of current OSHA guidelines and requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual salary of $62,400.
