Senior Thermal Management Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
This position will be responsible for supporting Chinese team for research and development work.
Essential Functions

- Communicate with North American customers, identify the specific needs of customers, and sort out the design input required by the project.
- Participate in the benchmarking analysis of vehicle air conditioning and thermal management systems, formulate performance and function goals, and formulate design and development plans.
- Participate in the review of product design specifications and technical solutions for systems and components.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This is largely a sedentary role in an office environment; however, there will be times when frequent lifting of 50 pounds or less may be required in addition to frequent bending.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp small items, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel for this position is expected up to 25%.
Required Education and Experience
- B.S. degree in an Engineering or Technical Field
- Knowledge in TS16949 Principles
Preferred Education and Experience
- Knowledge in ISO14001
- Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma Certification
- Training or degreed in Plant Manufacturing Techniques and Procedures
- 5S
- Computer literate.
- Familiar with the principle and system composition of vehicle air conditioning and thermal management and understand the overall development process.
- More than five years of working experience in automotive air conditioning or thermal management systems.
- Have good communication skills, creativity and sense of responsibility, and have a good teamwork spirit.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
