A day in the life as an Field Service Engineer/ QCS Technician can look like...
- Provide hands-on QCS technical support to all pulp & paper manufacturing operations for instrumentation and electrical control applications
- Perform preventative maintenance on paper mill electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of industrial equipment following electrical code, manuals, and schematics
- QCS Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic equipment
- Installing new electrical equipment, update drawings, job plans, and bills of materials
- Performing tasks list to include, but not limited to, testing, calibration, and repairs of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, indicating, and control instruments / equipment
We know you can handle these things because you have experience like:
- Direct and recent knowledge of QCS systems
- Troubleshooting skills and knowledge of various electrical sensors, switches, controllers, instrumentation, transmitters, automated valves, calibrations, industrial communications, robotics, motion control, and AC/DC control power
- Industrial experience in flat sheet processes such as paper
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including periods of time in pulp & paper, noisy, dusty, hot or cold environments
