Description of Position:
Position Serves as a Management Analyst and Office Manager to the J6 Senior Leadership. Position is the functional and/or technical expert to analyze and review documents submitted for leadership approval and develops recommendations to the division chiefs on potential changes, as well as provide solutions to senior leaders for highly complex issues. Additionally, position will be part of a 2-person team managing and leading the front office of the Director, Deputy Directors, and Chief of Staff.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Functional and technical expert to analyze issues and develop solutions to highly complex problems across the J6.
- Creates and/or refines existing work methods and techniques for application to the analysis of specific issues or resolution of problems.
- Leads analysis of problems and provides recommendations on different approaches, which may provide a basis for better planning of operations.
- Identifies and optimizes resources to accomplish multiple projects'/programs' goals, operational requirements, assesses impact on assignments, and develops recommendations for changes and revisions.
- Manages front office budget and min/max of consumable supplies supporting the Directorate.
- Manages the staffing process for items requiring approval/signature of Directorate senior leaders.
- Optimizes the Director, Deputies, Chief of Staff, and other senior staff members for daily interactions.
- Leads J6 requirements in responses to tasking from the DoD, Joint Staff, and Combatant Command leadership.
Key Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of DoD and Combatant Command structure
- Written communications skills
- Management of competing priorities and schedules
- Understanding of the functions of a J6 in a combatant command and the types of projects that a J6 would undertake
- Ability to resolve work-based conflicts between individuals and other organizations
Qualification Requirements:
- Experience at the next lower broadband/grade level (or equivalent) in performing various project/program management related tasks.
Conditions of Employment:

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
- Position requires drug testing
- Occasional travel away from the regular duty location may be required
