Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering operations, developing strategic plans, and ensuring the successful execution of engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
· Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
· Set clear objectives and performance expectations for the team, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
· Facilitate professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
2. Project Management:
· Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
· Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
3. Technical Excellence:
· Drive technical excellence by promoting best practices in software development, quality assurance, and system architecture.
· Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the engineering strategy where appropriate.
· Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and cost efficiencies within the engineering department.
· Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize engineering initiatives that support business growth and competitiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex engineering projects.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, system architecture, and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
