AmeriCorps service is a rewarding opportunity for a gap year, recent college graduates, and current college students. Veterans, older adults, and others seeking to make a difference in their community, or a change in career, are also encouraged to apply. You will gain hands on experience working with students, families, and older adults in Cleveland, Ohio as we foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and civic engagement.
Positions Available:
Help build the next generation of leaders by serving K-12 Cleveland Metropolitan School District students during the school day, in afterschool and summer programs at Partners for Student Success (P4SS).
P4SS focuses on creating an afterschool environment where students can build academic skills while developing social and emotional wellness. With a focus on STEAM, photography, sewing and crafts as well as other educational and recreational activities which lead to increased confidence and an increased ability to reach their goals.
Through your service with P4SS you will have the opportunity to work along side a dedicated STEAM specialist as well as professional photographers, learning as much as you wish while having a great time doing it. You'll also get to explore virtual reality learning, 3D printers and craft tools such as Circuit as learning aids.
P4SS believes in the power of developing entrepreneurial skills to help students build tools to be successful in any employment setting. This includes budgeting, managing finances, marketing and sales. Programing is age appropriate and ranges from school lemonade stands with elementary school students to assisting high school students in developing an actual shared small business where they keep the profits gained from their hard work.
Benefits
Living Allowance: Compensation is provided via direct deposit twice a month.
Full time (1700 hours total, +- 40 hours per week) = $20,037.60
3/4 time (1200 hours total, +-30 hours per week) = $16,560
Half Time (900 hours total, +-20 hours per week) = $12,420
Education Award: Segal Education Award equivalent to the maximum amount of the Pell Grant upon the successful completion of service hours:
Full Time = $7,395
3/4 Time = $5,176.50
Half Time = $3,697.50
The education award may be used towards educational expenses and/or current/past/future student expenses. A number of colleges match or exceed the educational award for current students.

Requirements
· Minimum of 18 years of age
· High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred
· Must be a US Citizen, National, or Legal Permanent Resident
· Must undergo and pass a criminal history background check
· Passion and perseverance for service
