The Drop Bury Technician will be responsible for the installation and activation of service drop lines from tap to customer home following client and AMC policy and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Communicate issues with locates and installation to management team for AMC and the client where applicable.
- Install drop as designed by client.
- Closure of completed work orders following the various client’s expectations.
- Submit daily job updates by closure type.
- Not done with reasoning
- Completed with notation of additional tasks required.
- Before and after photos of any roads, driveways, sidewalks where a bore is required/completed.
- After photos of yard from tap to home and home to tap showing completed work and restorations work completed to yard.
- Following local regulations and client expectations for bury depth, separation from other utilities.
- Safety operates various equipment used in UG cable placement.
- Drop bury machine with various attachments (Vibratory plow, trencher, bore attachment with up to 50+ feet of rods)
- Trailer pulling and ability to park following AMC vehicle policies.
- Loading and securing equipment and materials prior to start of travel.
Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Must present a positive, professional image to employees, customers, and clients in all interactions.
- Must have strong communication skills and experience working with customers.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of basic hand tools including a powered drill.
- Have problem-solving skills and able to think on your feet.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet AM Communications MVR qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to carry 80-100lbs, to include a 28’ extension ladder
- Must be able to work at heights of 28’ feet.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout work shift.
