The Information Technology Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining computer systems and providing technology assistance for the Center. Duties include working under daily direction from IT Director to install hardware and troubleshoot technology issues, responding to IT questions from employees and provide technology support to administrative departments’ projects including human resources, purchasing and inventory management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up new users by providing them with appropriate hardware, software, email, and specific network permissions as requested by management.
- Set up new workstations with computers and peripheral devices (phone, scanners, printers, etc.)
- Install and configure software and ensure functions according to specifications.
- Able to join computers to domain and correct security groups.
- Handle technical support cases through phone and email submission including resetting passwords, resolving network connectivity issues, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with printers, scanners, telephones, smart phones, desktops, laptops, and furnishing support for standard commercial and proprietary software applications and hardware devices.
- Maintain system functionality by testing computer components.
- Assist in providing basic training and training materials for new users.
- Maintain database of property and equipment, including tracking additions, disposals, tagging and completing annual physical inventory.
- Assist in conducting annual inventory counts of supplies and assets, under direction of CFO.
- Prepare reference material for users by drafting operation instructions for various systems and or software.
- Prepare written communications such as memos, letters, emails, invoices, reports or other correspondence.
- Create and maintain digital personnel files under direction of Human Resources Administrator.
- Assist in developing online employee performance evaluation process using Insperity portal, under direction of Human Resources Administrator.
- Assist in developing applicant tracking system using Insperity portal, under direction of Human Resources Administrator.
- Participate in team projects to assist all administrative departments and Center’s technology needs.
- Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of two years of networking experience.
- Minimum of two years of related experience with hardware and software.
- Familiarity with Active Directory.
- Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills using operational and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent customer service, phone etiquette and work ethic.
- Experience with job-associated databases or software.
- Ability to work independently and use good judgment in work prioritization.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality especially regarding personnel issues.
- Ability to work effectively in stressful situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, stand, bend and stoop for (long) periods of time.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally/frequently.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
