Position Title: Vice President of Business Development - Managed Care

Job Summary: The Vice President of Business Development in Managed Care will be responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic development and execution of business growth initiatives in the managed care sector. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, managed care operations, and a proven track record of driving business growth. The VP of Business Development will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and implement business opportunities that align with the company's objectives and enhance its competitive position in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve the company's growth objectives in the managed care sector.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead market analysis and feasibility studies to support business expansion and diversification.
- Partnership and Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, providers, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
- Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances to drive business growth.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and events to enhance its visibility and reputation.
- Sales and Marketing Leadership:
- Oversee the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to promote the company's managed care services and solutions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling value propositions and marketing materials.
- Drive business development activities, including lead generation, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Financial and Operational Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets for business development activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices in managed care.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Coach and mentor facility leadership team on the identification of opportunities, the value proposition, and growing more strategic relationships.
- Provide ongoing training, support, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization to drive business growth.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic planning within the healthcare industry, with a focus on managed care.
- Contracting and negotiation experience preferred
- Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of managed care operations, healthcare regulations, and industry trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to think strategically and analytically, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
