OBJECTIVE:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electronic systems. Your expertise and leadership will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our assembly processes.
PRIMARY DUTIES & TASKS:
1. Assembly and Integration:
- Assemble mechanical and electronic components according to engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions.
- Perform precision assembly work, including soldering, wiring, and connecting complex systems.
- Verify the accuracy of assemblies and ensure they meet quality standards.
2. Testing and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct functional tests on assembled systems to identify and rectify any issues or defects.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex systems and ensure proper functionality.
- Document all testing and troubleshooting activities for quality control and process improvement.
3. Leadership and Training:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior assembly technicians.
- Assist in training new team members in assembly techniques and best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert, sharing your knowledge and experience with the team.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the quality control team to implement and maintain quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
5. Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain inventory of assembly components and supplies.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary materials for production.
6. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proven experience as an assembly technician, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical assembly drawings.
- Exceptional soldering and wiring skills.
- Experience with precision tools and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to quality.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and safety protocols.
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and a dedication to continuous improvement.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus.
TRAVEL: Minimum of 50% travel required; Ability to travel domestic and internationally. Valid passport required or ability to obtain one quickly.
