$400.00 BONUS
Responsible to complete and efficiently provide our dining room steps of service in a manner most pleasing to residents and their guests. Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality, and service and cleanliness of dining room. The server must be aware of menu options and familiar with resident’s likes, dislikes, special diets and/or allergies. May transport foods to resident’s apartments. May also cover Bistro Clerk’s breaks and serve at special events. Participate in regular continuing education/in service.
- Qualifications and Performance Requirements
Must be able to read and write English. Must have a genuine interest in geriatric work. Willingness to work for the best interest of our community. Must demonstrate leadership qualities, loyalty, and self-control. Must understand and exhibit proper food handling techniques. Must have a high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene, as well as a sense of responsibility.
- High school diploma.
- Previous experience, 1-year similar position in a retirement community or high volume food service establishment.
- Food Handlers Certification within the first 60 days of employment
- Physical demands
Must be able to work and concentrate under conditions of stress. Stands and walks most of working day. Must be able to provide service to multiple people at the same time efficiently and expeditiously. Expected to lift medium to heavy trays constantly during a shift. Moderate to heavy lifting required up to 50 lbs.
