Statement of Purpose
Performs and provides administrative assistance necessary for the efficient operation of the Midwest Sperm Bank through management of secretarial functions and coordination of daily activities to meet the goals and objectives set by the Manager and Director. Prepares correspondence, receives phone calls, schedule donors and conducts special projects as assigned. Assists other staff of the Midwest Sperm Bank as needed.
Reports To: Medical Director and Laboratory Manager
Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Maintains office files in an organized fashion.
- Schedules repair and maintenance checks on office equipment.
- Orders liquid nitrogen and office supplies.
- Update and revise master forms as needed.
- Prepare and submit all business-related correspondence. Type letters as needed for clients and other staff.
- Schedule donors for initial meetings and schedule donor exams as required.
- Daily sorts and reviews incoming mail, responds to routine correspondence.
- Screen phone calls for staff of Midwest Sperm Bank, take messages, routes call appropriately.
- Take orders for donor sperm, calls for transport, tracks deliveries.
- Assist with packaging of donor sperm (make boxes, etc.)
- Correlates payments made for donor sperm with accountant.
- Keep Sperm Bank office area neat and organized.
- Performs any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Proficiency in computer software systems
- 3-5 years Secretarial/Administrative Assistant experience
- Detail oriented with good typing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication and organization abilities

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
