The LPN will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a long-term care facility. The LPN will work under the direction of the RN and will be responsible for administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient progress. The LPN will also be responsible for documenting patient care and communicating with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the RN
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Document patient care in the electronic medical record
- Communicate with the healthcare team regarding patient care
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Current LPN license in the state of Michigan
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills
