In this highly visible role, you will have multi-site responsibility (though travel is minimal) for multi-site operations. You will provide strategic and day-to-day human resources management support for 400+ hourly and salaried associates. The HR Manager is a critical member of the Leadership Team who is responsible for setting strategy and priorities driving a culture of continuous improvement and focus on employee engagement and development. This leader will also partner with HR teams across the network to collaborate and share best practices.
Duties include:
- Responsible for recruiting, payroll, benefits, leave and enforcement of policy.
- Conduct performance appraisals for staff as well as conduct safety training and other trainings.
- Conduct new hire orientations and training on HR Matters including benefits, disciplinary, investigations, performance and more.
- Assist in preparing weekly payroll for a 3rd party payroll company
- Develop and support recurring programs and activities such as New Employee Orientation and the ePerformance process
- Full scope of recruiting activities from helping managers determine job skills to screening applications, interviewing, offer, and onboarding via the applicant tracking system.
- Provide expert business partnering support to functional leaders, including guidance on employee relations; recommendations related to employee morale/engagement; and many other related duties
- Provide excellent counsel and guidance on employment practices
- Conduct confidential investigations, as needed, based on reports of Code of Conduct violations and other related matters; ensure proper reporting and documentation
- Maintains HR information in HR systems and partner with Finance related to budget planning, compensation changes, and other financial matters
- Support continuous improvement and automation of core HR processes, such as on-boarding, off-boarding, and position planning
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources; 5+ years managerial experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, including ability to skillfully navigate and interact with all levels of staff and diverse styles
- Strong ability to influence and challenge leaders and managers across the company with respect to matters of culture, values, employee development, and accountability
- Highly curious and willingness to learn from mistakes and give/receive – sometimes challenging - feedback while role modeling respect and integrity
- Organized self-starter that can effectively balance competing priorities and manage expectations of internal stakeholders
