Position Overview
We're on the lookout for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to become a pivotal hire within our Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone eager to mold our technology direction, spearhead innovation, and guarantee the delivery of robust, scalable, and efficiently performing solutions. You'll have the opportunity to work on blending impeccable design aesthetics with powerful, data-driven APIs while preparing our systems for advancements in Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, and Personalization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead backend technology efforts with a focus on AWS, PostgreSQL, Python, Django, and REST APIs
- Ensure robust integration with both new and legacy systems, including 3rd party API and data sources
- Contribute to front end and full stack feature development
- Help prepare infrastructure and interfaces with Data and ML engineering initiatives
- Work in tandem with cross-disciplinary teams to tailor solutions that meet both customer requirements and business objectives
- Uphold and advocate for high coding standards, best practices, and system security measures
- Ensure product reliability and participate in troubleshooting and debugging live environments when necessary
- Mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning
- Engage in product and technology strategy discussions, contributing to planning, estimation, and execution phases
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in full stack development, with significant expertise in backend technologies and architectures
- Strong knowledge of AWS, PostgreSQL, Container Services, Python, Django, and RESTful APIs; experience with legacy SOAP API integration is a plus
- Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable, and secure application architectures.
- Demonstrated skill in navigating complex problem-solving, code optimization, and project management
- Familiarity with front-end development, including JavaScript, React, and responsive design, is advantageous
- Strong track record of integrating frontend systems with a variety of web and data services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
